Sâmbătă a avut loc grandioasa finală a show-ului de televiziune „The X Factor” din Marea Britanie, desfășurată pe Arena Wembley.
Adam Lambert a fost invitat să cânte în duet cu Saara Aalto, finalista concursului, care s-a declarat fana lui și a precizat de nenumărate ori că unul din visele ei este să cânte alături de el.
Zis și... împlinit!
Adam și Saara au performat celebra „Bohemian Rhapsody”, în aplauzele juraților Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne, Nicole Scherzinger și Louis Walsh, dar și a miilor de spectatori ce s-au ridicat în picioare încă de la primele acorduri ale pianului.
Duetul a fost declarat unul dintre cele mai frumoase din istoria show-ului, atât datorită interpretării de excepție, cât și prin evidenta chimie existentă între Saara și Adam.
„The Rocky Horror Picture Show” este versiunea televizată din anul 1975 a musical-ului „The Rocky Horror Show”, sub regia lui Jim Sharman și scenariul lui Richard O'Brien și Jim Sharman.
Distribuția a cuprins nume precum Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick, Meat Loaf etc.
Filmul a stârnit numeroase controverse datorită temei extrem de provocatoare pentru acele timpuri - cultura LGBT.
„The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let's Do the Time Warp Again” reprezintă versiuneadin 2016 a filmului, tribut adus celor peste 40 de ani de la lansarea acestuia.
Adam Lambert îl interpretează pe Eddie, un fost curier, o apariție explozivă - la propriu.
Cu toate că rolul său este unul foarte scurt, Eddie a rămas în memoria tuturor datorită celebrei piese „Hot Patootie” - declarată favorita publicului în 1975, interpretată de Meat Loaf.
Nici Adam Lambert nu s-a lăsat mai prejos, momentul lui fiind unul dintre cele mai comentate și apreciate de telespectatori, dar și de recenziile de specialitate.
„And then, Adam Lambert came crashing onto the screen — literally, on a motorcycle, through a castle window — and he put the “Rock” back in “Rocky Horror.”
Hot patootie, bless my soul. I really loved this rock ‘n’ roll. And this squeaky-clean show really needed it. Taking on the Eddie role played by Meat Loaf in ’75, a greasy, grubby, gritty Lambert — a twisted vision in dirty denim and bad-boy biker leather — wailed, flailed, snarled, snarked, and just plain rawked. For four gloriously gonzo minutes, Rocky Horrorseemed a little dangerous again.And then (spoiler alert) Eddie got knifed, died in a spectacularly dramatic fashion — and it was all over. Time is fleeting, indeed. It’s a shame that Lambert was offered the Frank-N-Furter role butpassed, because his electric cameo just wasn’t enough.”

Despre celebrul musical al anilor '70, Adam declară:
“I grew up watching Rocky Horror, but could never imagine that I would be part of this new vision. Rocky Horror always made me feel like it was OK to celebrate my weirdness. Hallelujah, bless my soul! I love that old time rock-n-roll!”
Deși inițal i s-a oferit rolul principal, al doctorului Frank-N-Furter, Adam a refuzat, precizând:
“I kind of felt like in 2016, to be cis and playing the role of a trans character, it felt inappropriate to me. In the ‘70s, it was different. But nowadays we have such an amazing conversation that’s started about trans and gender in this world. I think casting Laverne was so brilliant. It’s so appropriate, you know what I mean?”
It’s very forward-thinking and it feels very right now, which is going to make this remake really interesting.
"With my schedule, it was just not looking likely. When they started announcing the cast, I said, 'Wait a minute — what about Eddie? I wanna play Eddie! I could do that — that’s like one song. Let me just come in and do a bit part!' Because I really, really wanted to be a part of it."
A fost un an extrem de aglomerat pentru Adam Lambert.
Printre turneul solo „The Original High Tour” (ianuarie-mai), turneul european alături de trupa Queen (mai-iunie), respectiv turneul asiatic recent încheiat (septembrie), Adam a făcut față și altor proiecte precum „Rocky Horror Picture Show” (ce va avea premiera pe 20 octombrie) sau show-ul de televiziune „X Factor” din Australia, ale cărui prime etape au fost filmate deja.
Astăzi a început difuzarea audițiilor emisiunii-concurs, astfel că fanii lui Adam se pot bucura să îl vadă în ipostza de membru al juriului.
Masa juriului este completată de „localii” Iggy Azalea și Guy Sebastian.
Nu este prima dată când Adam Lambert apare la celebrul show de televiziune.
„Relația” datează încă din 2011, când Adam a fost invitatul special al emisiunii. De asemenea, anul trecut a prestat pe aceeași scenă al doilea single al albumului „The Original High”.
„X Factor” Australia va continua cu audițiile în fiecare luni, marți și miecuri, urmând apoi etapa numită „Bootcamp”.
Show-urile live vor debuta -cel mai probabil- începând cu sfârșitul lunii octombrie.
Să nu uităm faptul că pe Adam l-am mai văzut în ipostaze asemănătoare la „American Idol”, unde a fost, pe rând, concurent, mentor și apoi jurat pentru 2 zile.

După turneul european ce s-a încheiat pe 25 iunie în Padova, Queen și Adam Lambert nu au „șomat” pentru mult timp, astfel că pe 12 septembrie și-au dat din nou întâlnire pe scenă, de data aceasta pe continentul asiatic.
Prima oprire a avut loc la Tel Aviv (Israel) și au urmat rând pe rând Singapore, Taipei, Tokyo (3 concerte), Shanghai, Hong Kong și, nu în ultimul rând, Bangkok pe 30 septembrie.
9 concerte care s-au bucurat de un mare succes - așa cum ne-au obișnuit deja Brian May, Roger Taylor, Adam Lambert, Spike Edney, Neil Fairclough și Rufus Taylor.

În continuare nu ne rămâne decât să sperăm ca îi vom revedea și anul viitor pe scenă deoarece nici nu încape îndoială că formula Queen + Adam Lambert a făcut furori pe întreg mapamondul.
Astăzi a fost lansată 0ficial piesa „Broken”, o colaborare a producătorilor/DJ Tritonal (Chad Cisneros, Dave Reed) și Jenaux (Eugene Veltman) cu Adam Lambert, care este și co-scriitor al acesteia.
Cu un zâmbet molipsitor și o prezență scenică absolut încântătoare, Adam Lambert a încins atmosfera în finala show-ului „Greatest Hits” ce a avut loc la Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles pe 4 august.
Prestația sa a fost una cu totul specială, fiind vorba despre piesa „Faith” a lui George Michael, una dintre preferatele copilăriei lui Adam, după cum a afirmat chiar el.
Site-uri importante precum Billboard.com au postat recenzii extrem de pozitive, răsunând la unison cu reacția evidentă a celor prezenți în sală.
Verdictul s-a dat de la primele note: atitudine pozitivă, interpretare vie, fresh, impecabilă.
Încă o dată Adam Lambert dovedește că poate cânta absolut orice, reușind să își lase amprenta asupra piesei în cauză, fie că este vorba de repertoriul Queen, Michael Jackson, George Michael, U2, Tears for Fears, Bob Marley, Led Zeppelin Rihanna, Jessie Ware, Aerosmith, Little Big Townetc.
După cum îl știm deja, Adam e mereu în activitate.
În toamnă revine în turneu alături de Queen, de data aceasta fiind vorba despre Asia.
Dacă în postarea anterioară spuneam că Adam pare de neoprit, acum voi spune că este de neoprit.
În urmă cu 2 zile am aflat că tocmai semnase contractul cu cei de la MiLK Management, agenția care urmează să îl reprezinte în sfera fashion (detalii aici), iar astăzi am avut parte de vestea total neașteptată a lansării videoclipului ultimului său single (featuring Laleh), „Welcome To The Show”.
Ca să ne amintim, „Welcome To The Show” a fost lansată pe 17 martie 2016 și prezentată oficial în cadrul finalei „American Idol” din aceeași zi.
Videoclipul a fost filmat pe 31 martie înLas Vegas, Nevada.
Cea mai mare surpriză a fost scrisoarea lui Adam care a însoțit premiera clipului, în care mărturisește că se află pentru prima dată în ipostaza de producător, fiind ajutat de prietenul și colaboratorul său vechi, Lee Cherry.
De asemenea, Adam Lambert explică semnificația și mesajul piesei/clipului în cel mai frumos și onest mod:
„Welcome To The Show is an anthem about facing exactly who you are and OWNING it. Its intended as a mantra to inspire strength and PRIDE. After recording the song a few months ago, I felt very compelled to create a video to further communicate it’s meaning.
I notice such diversity in my audiences when I’m on tour: Young, old, male, female, Trans, Gay, Straight, White, Black, Asian, Hispanic, and every beautiful in-between. The common bond is that they are all HUMAN BEINGS. No matter how we identify, the human heart has a universal set of emotions and needs. Sure it’s idealistic, but couldn’t we be recognizing our similarities, instead of our differences? It all comes down to Identity. We as a society are obsessed with how to classify and define each person. There are new labels invented monthly for how to describe new “types”. In some cases, these labels are needed to empower us and give us clarity, but it seems that at some point, all the categorizing can become quite divisive. I’ve seen so many people trapped by the identity they put so much effort into maintaining, or shunned by choosing not to. I have fallen into that trap myself. True Individuality seems daunting in our age of social media popularity contests. Sometimes it’s terrifying to face your true, whole self, stripped of any pretense. The good, the bad, the cracks, and the scars. I am no stranger to the feeling of not liking myself. Once I get past my own body image issues, I realize that I sometimes also neglect my own spirit. Living in a world filled with so much hatred sometimes makes cultivating self-love a very difficult task. I have always struggled with this as I’m sure many of you have. My path is a kind of paradox in that I get to share my craft with the world, but also be willing to throw myself to the wolves. To dare to be different, but still wanting to be accepted. There is vast beauty to be found in life’s contradictions. This non-binary reality allows us to lead happy, expressive lives, and yet this very freedom comes with great risks. I’m not alone in this limbo. Through my art, I pledge to bring empathy and courage to anyone who has been made to feel unworthy or ashamed while daring to be themselves.
This is the first time I’ve produced my own music video. With the help of my friend and long- time collaborator Lee Cherry, we set out to co-direct something notably honest. I spoke with Laleh (the brilliant songwriter who is featured on the song) and we agreed on the vulnerability we wanted captured on screen. I think the more we as artists share ourselves openly, the more someone out there may feel inspired to do the same. I also felt a strong feeling of empowerment in creating this video independent of the label system. It was time to shoot this one on my own. This video isn’t about selling a song, or product placement, or racking up viral views. This is intended simply as a creative expression. What resulted on set came from a very free and organic headspace that allowed me to connect with the camera as if it were each person who’s supported me over the last 7 years. This video is a thank you to all of you who have lined up to see the Original High World Tour. To everyone who has listened and shared my songs and given me the purpose to keep moving forward. It’s a thank you to all of you who choose to accept and Love who YOU are! We hold each other up!
