Queen și Adam Lambert lansează primul album live împreună - „Live Around The World”

Queen și Adam Lambert au lansat primul material discografic al formulei magice - nu oricum, ci în variantă live.

Despre acest cadou ne spun mai multe chiar ei:

Roger Taylor: „We hadn’t really watched those clips before, we were always too busy touring.We weren’t aware of how good the band sounded. So we thought, well, maybe there’s a live album of highlights of concerts that we’ve done over the last eight years with Adam Lambert to be made.”

Brian May: „As we all grapple with the challenge of creating live shows in a world dominated by a formidable viral enemy, it seemed the perfect time for us to create a collection of hand-picked live highlights from our Queen shows over the last 7 years with our brother Adam Lambert."  

It’s a first! As you watch and listen to these tracks you’ll be journeying all around the world with us, and experiencing a complete virtual live set. The collection climaxes in Sydney earlier this year when, in support Fire Fight Australia, we recreated the complete Queen Live Aid set. It was a historic event for a great cause - with perhaps the highest adrenaline level since the original Live Aid in 1985. It makes me particularly happy that we can now share this unique moment with the whole world”

Adam Lambert: „When we couldn’t tour this year we wanted to give the fans something in place of that, and a Live album just felt right. It’s the first time we have released an album together and we have had a lot of fun putting it together, picking out favourite performances over the past seven years.”

Albumul „Live Around The World” (disponibil AICI sub formă de CD/DVD/Vinyl/CD+Blu-ray) conține o colecție de momente live din cele peste 200 de concerte susținute din 2012 până în prezent.

Interpretări legendare precum „The Show Must Go On”, „I Was Born To Love You”, „Love Kills” sau „Who Wants To Live Forever” pot fi retrăite prin intermediul acestui „turneu în jurul lumii” alături de Brian, Roger și Adam, respectiv publicul ce totalizează undeva în jur de 4 milioane de oameni de pe întreg mapamondul.

Albumul, lansat oficial pe 2 octombrie, i-a readus pe Brian, Roger și Adam în fața publicului, de data aceasta sub formă online.

Îndrăgiții artiști au răspuns în direct la întrebările adresate de fani.

Cât despre reîntoarcerea pe scenă, ce e sigur e că toată lumea este nerăbdătoare.

Queen și Adam Lambert lansează „imnul liniei întâi”: „You Are The Champions”

În „era tehnologiei” totul este posibil; astfel o colaborare de acasă între Londra, Cornwall și Los Angeles a dat naștere unui proiect așteptat de multă vreme: prima înregistrare „oficială” sub egida Queen + Adam Lambert.

Deși nu este vorba de un studio pompos, ci de telefoanele mobile ale celor 3 persoane implicate, rezultatul este unul măreț - mai ales prin ceea ce reprezintă, respectiv scopul pentru care a fost realizat.

„You Are The Champions” este dedicată celor aflați în primă linie în acest război care parcă a oprit lumea în loc, dar în același timp a pus-o pe fast forward.

Pe lângă vocea de neegalat a lui Adam Lambert, chitara magică a lui Brian May, respectiv consacratele tobe ale lui Roger Taylor, sunt aduse în prim plan imagini care vorbesc de la sine.

Colajul video o surprinde chiar și pe fiica lui Roger, medic în Londra.

English Review - Adam Lambert's 4th studio album - "Velvet"

The wait is over for Adam Lambert's fans.

After 5 years, he released a new studio album, the forth of his solo career - "Velvet", under More Is More and Empire, with producers like Tommy English, Joe Janiak, Steve Booker, Josh Cumbee, Butch Walker or Fred Ball.

The executive producer of the material is Adam Lambert.

The EP includes 13 songs and was put out on March 20th - available on all platforms.

Just before the album, Adam released the music video of the title track, where we watch him as a tailor from the '70s.

"Velvet" is the gate to the new era, the start of a different style -a nostalgic one-, that reminds us of the music's golden years and artists like Prince, George Michael, David Bowie or Boy George.

"Superpower" was the first official single of "Velvet:Side A", a song with disco-funk influences (also) from the '70s  and a colorful music video filmed last year in Brooklyn, New York.

"Stranger You Are" was released together with "Velvet: Side A" șand includes many rock influences and trumpets, contouring the so-called "anthem of the different".

It had very positive feedback from the mass-media, but also in the social media, becoming the opening song of the shows that Adam had in the USA at the end of last year.

"Loverboy" is funky, sensual and brings Prince vibes, according to the many reviews (that place it on the EP's top 3 favourite songs).

"Roses" is the only collaboration of the album, a funk track that wears the signature of Nile Rodgers, with whom Adam has worked before on songs like "Shady" (2012 - album "Trespassing") or "Lay Me Down" (2013 - released by AVICII on the album "True").

"Closer To You" is definitely the album's big ballad, part of "Velvet: Side A” - EP released last autumn.

The piano is the element that offers its sensibility, while the focus the is on the vocals and lyrics.

"Overglow” is the track that most outlines the '80s influences, being one of the most popular on the album.

Just like the previous one, it was released together with the first part of the discograhpic material.

"Comin In Hot" was presented in June 2019 together with its music video,  which was the second part of the "Velvet" series, initiated by "New Eyes".

The track is dominated by the strong bass and illustrated the glam rock era.

"On The Moon" is, after "Velvet", the second unrevealed song until the album's release.

Mysterious, sensual, atmospheric. It sort of reminds us of  "Broken English" or "Nirvana" -album "Trespassing” (2012)- or "Voodoo" (album "For Your Entertainment" - 2009).

"Love Don't" is, according to Adam, the most technically diffcult song to perform. He also mentioned that he would love to perform it live with Queen.

There are many rock influences from the '70s, as well as many of the artist's signature high notes.

"Ready To Run" is the ending track of "Velvet: Side A", considered to be the EP's song with the most rock elements.

"New Eyes" - released a year ago as a single, together with its musical video, was the one who visually introduced us to the new era.

There we have Adam with a whole new look, accordingly to the '70s influences (Prince, David Bowie).

"Feel Something" gave us the first taste of the album, shared by Adam on February 2019, when he wrote an emotional letter to his fans.

The song is truly special - its title also represents the artist's new project, "The Feel Something Foundation". 

Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus pandemic, all the further promotional events have suffered cancellation/postponement.

"Velvet" was presented to the media through a minipromo tour that Adam has had last year in countries like Germany, the UK, Australia and the USA.

Așteptarea a luat sfârșit pentru fanii lui Adam Lambert.

După 5 ani, acesta lansează noul material discografic, al 4-lea din cariera solo, intitulat „Velvet”, sub egida More Is More și Empire și având producători precum Tommy English, Joe Janiak, Steve Booker, Josh Cumbee, Butch Walker sau Fred Ball.

Producătorul executiv al proiectului este Adam Lambert.

Albumul cuprinde 13 piese și a „ieșit la lumină” pe 20 martie, fiind disponibil pe toate platformele muzicale.

Anterior albumului, Adam a prezentat și videoclipul piesei omonime, care-l ilustrează în ipostaza de croitor al anilor '70 . 

„Velvet” este „poarta” spre noua eră, introducerea într-un stil diferit, nostalgic, ce ne amintește de „anii de aur” ai muzicii și de artiști precum Prince, George Michael, David Bowie sau Boy George.

„New Eyes”, single lansat în urmă cu aproape un an, simultan cu videoclipul acestuia, a fost cel care ne-a introdus vizual în noua epocă din cariera muzicală a lui Adam Lambert (mai multe aici).

Descoperim un nou look al artistului, pe măsura influențelor din anii '70 (Prince, David Bowie).

„Feel Something” a fost prima bucățică din album pe care Adam a împărtășit-o in februarie 2019, alături de o scrisoare profundă (detalii aici).

Piesa este una cu totul specială, de la titlul ei plecând și fundația pe care Adam a înființat-o odată cu noul proiect muzical.

Din păcate, atât perioada de promovare a albumului, cât și majoritatea evenimentelor anunțate recent au avut de suferit din cauza contextului medical actual.

Albumul „Velvet”a fost prezentat presei într-un miniturneu de promovare pe care Adam l-a desfășurat anul trecut în Germania, Regatul Unit și Australia (detalii aici), respectiv în Statele Unite ale Americii.

Queen și Adam Lambert recreează setlist-ul de la „Live Aid” în cadrul „Fire Fight Australia”

Nu este pentru prima dată când Queen și Adam Lambert se implică activ în evenimente caritabile (cu această ocazie ne reamintim de „Global Citizen Festival”, desfășurat anul trecut în New York).

De această dată vorbim despre „Fire Fight Australia”, un proiect ce are ca scop strângerea de fonduri pentru zonele afectate de incendiile devastatoare din Australia.

Brian May: „We’re very happy to be able to do our bit to help Australia to fight back against the terrible fires. This is Australia’s pain but it’s humanity’s problem. My heart has broken seeing the plight of the animals. I hope the concert will help them too. We all need this tragedy to never happen again.”

Roger Taylor: „This would seem to be not only Australia's problem but a climate change problem that affects the whole world.We are here right now and anything we can do to help in finding Australia a way to recover is the least we can do as musicians. We are all in trouble.”

Adam Lambert: „It’s terrifying to see what is happening to our world, and we need to take responsibility now. To be able to be part of ‘Fire Fight’ which is doing just that, is a real honour.”

Au răspuns inițiativei zeci de artiști, atât locali, cât și internaționali.

Biletele s-au epuizat în câteva ore de la punerea în vânzare.

Concertul a avut loc pe stadionul ANZ din Sydney și a durat aproape 10 ore, în prezența unui public format din 75 000 de oameni.

S-a reușit strângerea a 9,5 milioane $, donațiile putându-se efectua în continuare.

Queen și Adam Lambert au urcat pe scenă spre sfârșitul evenimentului, iar surpriza desăvârșită a fost alegerea setlist-ului - „Bohemian Rhapsody”, „Radio Gaga”, „Hammer To Fall”, „Crazy Little Thing Called Love”, „We Will Rock You”, „We Are The Champions”.

Reacția publicului prezent acolo, precum și a celor care au urmărit evenimentul în direct, a fost extrem de pozitivă, Queen și Adam Lambert fiind în top-urile trend-urilor de pe platformele de socializare.
